New haircut!
Hey guys! How have ya'll been doing? Good? I'm doing good too. Teehee. Sorry for the lack of updates. Have been busy with so many things now. I shall share some of the things I've been doing now.
Oh before that. I CHOPPED OFF MY HAIR! SEE SEE UP THERE! HA HA HA HA k I look kinda funny though. But oh wells. I think it's okay la. Ha ha.
Kay first thing. You guys should know that i had my ITP (attachment) a few weeks ago. So, I was very busy for the whole of 6 weeks from Mar - Apr. I was involved in the retail line, instead of the office work kind of thing. So I was welcomed in the little BOOKSHOP!
damn nice right the place?
Yeap. That was the little BOOKSHOP. I was assigned as the Shop Assistant/Storyteller. Basically, most of the time, I worked with KIDS! & yes, all of them were cute kids! Met new people from all races/background etc. Most of the kids were Caucasians. I could not deny that sometimes I feel intimidated by them during storytelling. What if I don't speak fluent proper English? & before storytelling, i'll be worried about plenty of stuffs. Like the props, the storyline, how do I tell the story, how to engage them, interact with them & bla bla bla. But on the whole, I think I did a good job. At the same time, I've improved my English. Now it's way better than before. Plus point! :D
So, let's talk about the staff. There were 3 main people/staff who will always be there. Irene, the owner & also the shop manager, Irvin the asst. shop manager, & Joy the barista. So, I was rather very close with them to the point that I almost wanted to cry when I left. I had so much fun while working with them. I never felt neglected or felt foreign during my 6 weeks there. Even though the hours were long, from 1230pm - 9/1030pm, most of the time, I was looking forward to work. There were some other staff whom I've met too like Sabrina and Dewi. To sum it up, simple to say, I had fun & I love the place. & I miss every single one of them, especially Joy, the bes-test Barista I've known & my sweetest mate at work :) OH OH I ALMOST FORGOT! Irene makes the tastiest cupcakes and brownies ever! You guys should try someday. Do come down to the little Bookshop. It is located at the shop houses, near the Siglap Centre. If you guys wanna know more, just add them in Facebook. The little bookshop in Siglap.
Alright. I'll end here. Will update again soon la okay? Bye! :D
I miss you Alligator! MUAHS xoxo
